Ivy is one!

Deisen with Spider-Bear
Happy 1st Birthday Ivy!
Today you are one:)  This was the best shot I could get of her and the sign.  I also decided to write down a few of the things that Ivy is doing/loving for future reference :) - She loves blueberries and watermelon. - Ivy still loves to play in the dishwasher and literally runs over when she hears that it has been opened.  - She gibber-jabbers all day and loves sticking her tongue out and blowing kisses.  -She doesn't like wearing a bow in her hair or having shoes on her feet. - When she is tired she slaps her left ear with her left hand. - Like Deisen, I am not sure if she is going to be a lefty or a righty. - She is mimicking all sorts of things..sounds, faces, motions, up and down movements, etc.. - She LOVES the water.  Swimming or getting in the bath tub is most definitely a favorite of hers (another time she comes a runnin' is when she hears the bath water turn on).  - She cannot get enough of her Daddy.  Runs right to his arms every time he comes home and whimpers at his feet if he doesn't hold her all night.  - Ivy doesn't care for lunch meat or hot dogs, but loves toast, chicken, peas, corn, oranges, and suckers. - She always takes a morning nap, and I'm lucky if I get a nap in the afternoon.  - She hardly ever sits still, you will find her, bottle in mouth, running around the house.  - I absolutely love the stage she is in right now.  Jeffrey and I have both enjoyed watching her personality come out.  She is really starting to fight back to Deisen and stick up for herself.  Her defense mechanism against him is pulling his hair.  - She loves to play "chase after Ivy" game, tickle her and have Deisen blow raspberries on her tummy.  At her one year appointment she weighed in at a big 26 pounds and has 6 teeth, four on top and two on bottom.  I could go on and on....  Ivy is one special little girl and I am so happy I get to call her mine.

Most pictures looked like this

Opening up Oma's presents and having her listen since we couldn't get skype working

She really wasn't that big of a fan, however, since then she has found her love for sugar
I decided each year I will take a picture of them with a sign.  Since I missed Deisen's b-day a couple of months back, we made up for it on Ivy's birthday.  Since I never wrote a post about what Deisen has been up to/loving lately, I figured this would be a good time to do that.  Deisen is a mess.  A fun loving, energetic, super-hero loving mess!  Basically if you are a super-hero he loves you.  For a long time he only loved Spider-Man and Iron Man, but that love has extended to Larry Boy (Veggie Tales super-hero), Bat-Man, Superman, The Hulk, The Superhero Squad, etc...  But he also enjoyes Dora, Little Einsteins and Mickey Mouse.  Deisen loves milk.  Some days go by and milk is what is keeping him alive.  But when he does eat he enjoys hotdogs, any fruit, cheese, cereal (but only in a certain cup and it has to be, "weally, weally, weally big one", which means full to the top), and noodles.  I also love the stage Deisen is in right now.  It has been a lot of fun being able to have conversations with him, and just listening to conversations he has with himself.  Today, after picking him up from school, which was his last day of the year, he had an entire conversation about how his teacher, Mrs. Terry, who "went to da tore (store) to buy soup...and pasta...and plowers..no (while laughing)..Mrs. Tewy didn't buy plowers (flowers) she bought tandy (candy)..hahahhahaha!"  I really just love listening to him, puts a big smile on my face.  He still gets all wrapped up into what he is saying ans stutters with "ah huh, ah huh" you would have to hear it to know what I'm talking about.  Deisen loves to play outside but we have noticed that he is cautious.  He didn't enjoy tubing with some friends at the lake, he doesn't just jump into things, or go down high slides.  I wouldn't have expected such timid behavior from this wild boy.  He loves playing with play dough and building with his blocks/Lego's. Yesterday I had to lie on the floor or couch so he could grunt and moan as he helped pick me up/save me, just like he's been watching in the Christopher Reeves Superman III.  Oh and when it comes to Batman, He is Batboy, I am Bat girl, baby Ivy is Robin and Jeffrey is the bad guy..Jeffrey always plays the bad guy:)  One of the great things about Deisen is how much he loves me.  He loves to cuddle and thankfully I get plenty of cuddle time with him.  He calls it, "Hold Choo" which means he wants me to hold him.  I love it and I love him!

No one will ever know that he is really 3 years and 2 months.

First season of soccer

Soccer has come and gone.  Jeffrey and I thoroughly enjoyed watching Deisen "play" or also known as "sit there on the line" or "run around while shooting webs at teammates/opposing team
We did get some cute pics :)
Although this isn't a tackle picture, there was a tackle or two thrown down during the season
This is the where he enjoyed standing if his web shooters weren't being used
Yes he wore his mask, and yes everyone loved it!
Web shooters out and active
Oh and when he wasn't "playing" we could find him jumping off the bleachers..again, take note of the web shooters :)
An older lady kept talking about how, "unsafe it is for that boy to keep jumping off the bleachers", I let that boy keep on jumping and took an awesome picture.  No broken bones yet, although I wouldn't put it past the Deis-man to get one one day!  And as usual I took great video but will put that up another day.
