I got all the cuddles the next day when Jeffrey went to work

Chattanooga

By the time Sunday rolled around and we still didn't have power we were all ready for a change of scenery and a hot shower. Thanks Dad for finding us such a great hotel. We spent the evening relaxing, eating pizza, Jeffrey and Deisen swam, and watching all the devastation due to the tornadoes on the news (we only had the radio and felt very much in the dark until then).
This may be one of my favorite picture of all time :)

Deisen loved that phone

On Monday we went to the Chattanooga Aquarium. Deisen and Ivy were both champs! Deisen really enjoyed all of the fish, especially the tank with Scuba Steve, and Ivy slept the majority of the time.
Jeffrey found some fun apps on our camera
Scuba Steve, or "Man" as Deisen called him, was the highlight of the trip. The downside was that when "Man" got out of the tank and we moved on we were only half way done with the aquarium and, therefore, every other tank/exhibit we saw Deisen would complain about how the "Man" was not there.

Ice-cream at the Ben & Jerry's across the street solved many of our "Man" frustrations :)

Slept all the way home, which is an hour and a half drive (plus some because we missed an exit)

Oma and Deisen in the butterfly room

Storm

No power from Wednesday until Monday.
Although this picture doesn't give it justice, the sky really was creepy with the clouds moving around like crazy with a greenish/yellow hue.
Mom using her wilderness/survival skills while cooking up some eggs and other breakfast items before they had to be thrown out (3rd day without power)

This was his form of a bath for 4 days

Since we have an electric heater that meant showers were few and far between..so very cold. But alas, we were able to hang out in our pj's and rock the piano

Green Mountain

I love Carly's face here..pure excitement while showing Deisen where the ducks are :)

Oma, Carly and Deisen began walking the trail but ended up turning around. While coming back Deisen picked my and Ivy some flowers :)

Notice the flowers covering Miss Ivy's face

Green Mountain is just beautiful. Only a 10-15 minute drive and you have a lake, walking trail, rockers, ducks, trees, flowers, small waterfall, etc...

A Few

More Hospital Pix

Carly was having him find her mouth, nose, ears, etc...

Big Brother meet Little Sister

Deisen was at school for most of the morning but he showed up at the hospital with bows and a onesie that said Little Sister. He was, and has been, really sweet with her

We called her both Ivy and Astrid for the first day, but in the end Ivy Marie won :)
