Ivy turns 2!

I am completely in awe about how quickly these 2 years have gone by!  Ivy is now in a "big girl bed" (which is her crib but the front railing taken off) and I just about cried after I put her to bed one night...just growing up too fast.  Ivy had a fun day.  She went to school were her class sang Happy Birthday to her, Nonnie and Paw Paw came over, we got pizza, opened presents and smashed cupcakes in her mouth/face/clothes.  Here are a few things Ivy is into right now:
-Loves to basically do anything Deisen does!
-Loves chocolate cereal with milk
-Any fruit, especially strawberries and blueberries
-Loves peas and hot dogs (she says it with a growling voice, "hotdog")
-Is becoming more aware of what she is wearing and enjoys picking out her clothes, changing her clothes and wearing shirts as pants
-Is learning her letter and numbers and loves to listen to Deisen sing the ABC song
-Is speaking with 3 words in a sentence
-Loves to torment Deisen by saying, "Nooo, My" while slapping her hand to her chest. Which means "No Deisen, that's mine" whether it is or isn't, seriously drives the boy nuts!
-Favorite toy is definitely her baby doll
-Loves to swing and wants to go just as high as DK
-Wears 4T and may be moving up to 5T in shirts soon
-She loves to "wock" or rock at night
-She and Deisen are really playing well together lately.  They will laugh, run around, wrestle, color, play on the play set, etc...
-She has no fear!  She will touch anything, eat anything, play with anything, and do anything.  I have to watch her carefully.
-She loves Mini Mouse
-Yesterday I asked her what her favorite colors were and she said, "ink" (pink), "urple" (purple)
-Oh and how could I forget this girl's obsession with animals.  Really.  Any animal, she loves them all!
We love our Ivy and feel that she is undoubtedly meant to be in our family.  Happy Birthday Ivy Girl!

I love this picture.  She got $2.00 from Nonnie and Paw Paw and was pretty darn excited the rest of the night!  Sharon, do you think this would be a good picture for Natasha to draw?

Nana's funeral

 Lake Jackson, TX aquarium.

I just liked how big that guys smile is in this picture :)

Ivy would touch anything the lady put in front of her, Deisen on the other hand...
wouldn't touch a thing.  He did let me put this sea shell up to his ear, but you can still tell by his face that he was terrified!

Ivy does this hunch walk/run all the time.  I am so glad that I finally captured it!  Hilarious :)

Deisen and Ivy had a lot of fun at the beach house getting to know their cousins (or first cousins once removed, or second cousins...I never know which one to use)

 "Mommy yook, I Sand Man!"
 The view :)

 Deisen and Addee were inseparable
Nana's funeral service was really nice.  She seemed to be quite the lady.  I do wish I could have gotten to know her better.
Jeffrey and all of his cousins

Deisen turned 4!

Deisen is really enjoying Jake and Neverland Pirates on the Disney channel right now.  So he wanted a Jake the pirate party.  Well, first he wanted a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory party but then he changed his mind stating that, "Mom, my Charwee parwty should weally be when I'm 5.  Yeah, it would be bettew when I'm 5."  So all my Charlie planning will be saved until next year, maybe, and I went into full swing with his pirate party!
Each of the kids got to dress like a pirate.

They had to follow a treasure map, the first stop was to walk the plank
Pin the X on the map
 sword fight
 Play
 Open presents

And finally eat cake and get their gold doubloons (which is the word that Jake uses for coins).

Nonnie made the vest for Deis-man and he really did look like Jake!
His birthday party was on Saturday the 23rd and then we just had us and Nonnie and Paw Paw on his actual birthday, which was Monday the 25th.  Deisen wanted Chick-fil-A for dinner and then we went back the house for left over cake and presents.
Present from Mom and Dad = a new big boy bike!

 Matching crazy smiles....

And the day after the party we all helped to clean up!
