Ivy Marie

Figured I'd write a blurb about what Ivy is doing and what she enjoys these days. She is sleeping well and usually takes 2 naps a day. She loves to watch Deisen play. And if Deisen is around, regardless of how tired she is, she will stay awake and watch him! It's cute and annoying all at the same time. Lately she's been throwing her hands up over her head, hands held together, head tilted back (hard to explain), she will also squint her eyes and wrinkle her nose (pic 1), this is my absolute favorite face right now! She loves to eat avocado, sweet potato, butternut squash, applesauce, and she has come around to a liking for bananas :) She gets all giddy when I bring out her puffy rice snacks and gets all sorts of grumpy when the snack are gone. She loves to be tickled and just can't contain herself when Deisen blows raspberries on her belly.

*I wrote this in the beginning of December and since we are about to hit February I thought I would update on what Ivy is up to now that she is 9 months. My Ivy Marie is a chunky monkey! Sky rocketing off the charts in both weight and height, and is now fully in 18 month clothing. She still loves, more than anything, to watch and play with Deisen. Her current favorite activity with him is to take a bath! That girl freaks out when the bathroom door is open and she can crawl over to the tub. She loves to just pull herself up and look in, gazing around at all the bath toys and what could be if mom would just let them take bath #4! Seriously, these two take an average of two to three baths a day, they sparkle by the end of the night :) Ivy is crawling like a champ and is become quite the couch/fire place walker. Jeffrey and I just noticed her doing this spinning thing on her bum, on the hardwood floors, but have been unsuccessful of getting a video. She still loves all the above mentioned foods, but also now enjoys strawberries and blueberries mashed up. She has beautiful blue eyes and still no teeth and she looks like Jeffrey. I have special hopes that my baby girl will grow up to be a mini-me, I guess we'll see. Our little Ivy is always gabbing with "Na Na Na Na" and "Ba Ba Ba Ba". She also loves to unload all the spoons and plates from the dishwasher and bang a lovely tune. We love our little Ivers:)

Just for Fun

We have had an incredibly warm winter here in Alabama. So the other night Deisen was outside playing that he was the bad guy and roaring at everything/everybody. Also notice the measuring cups...he had been "making cookies" all day with those, which is interesting word choice since I don't remember the last time I baked cookies. I'm not joking, I'm craning my neck trying to remember and I literally cannot think of the last time cookies were made in this house. Sad, maybe we should make some today.

Thanks Auntie Great!!

Thanks Kerri for the book sets for Ivy and Deisen. Although the initial reaction was not pleasing to the Deis-man, he has enjoyed them. If you cannot tell what he is saying in the video, it's "I wanted Iron Man toys and Spider Man toys" with a big frowny face :( We thought it was a priceless moment :)

Singing in the Christmas Program

As mentioned in the earlier post, we absolutely loved watching Deisen sing/not sing in the Christmas program. When he waves in this clip it is him finally seeing me in the audience. I had to restrain myself for waving back due to the instructions we were given at the beginning of the program :)

Famly Pictures

Our friend's sister and her husband are up and coming photographers and asked if they could shoot some pics of the kidlets and the fam. We of course love getting family photos for free so we jumped at the opportunity :)!! I think they did a good job.

I had Chelsea take this shot for me :) I just thought Ivy looked so stinkin' cute blocking the sun from her eyes.

This picture depicts our every day with Deisen and Ivy (choke hold).

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning :)!! Video to come

The beginning of a family tradition (and maybe every family in the world) Christmas Eve PJ's!

Our decorated cookies for Santa. Deisen was super duper cute and when asked, "what Santa likes to eat?" He would respond with a big grin and say "coookie" and when asked, "what do the reindeer eat?" He would get an even bigger grin and say, "carrwots!!"

Merry Christmas to all!

I love Ivy's expression of "I don't really know what to do/think!" After all pictures were taken and Deisen was safe and sound in his Daddy's arms he did tell Santa that he wanted Iron Man toys and Spider Man toys. Too cute and a very fun night!
